EMBODY AND AUDEZE REVEAL THE SEA OF THIEVES COCONUT HEADSET: A ONE-OF-A-KIND COLLECTIBLE BORN FROM THE HIGH SEAS
May 6, 2026
Built on the Audeze Maxwell 2 platform and handcrafted with real coconut shells, this ultra-exclusive headset brings Rare’s beloved Coconut Headband cosmetic to life — and it isn’t available to everyone.
Embody and Audeze today unveiled the Sea of Thieves Coconut Headset — a fully functional, artisan-crafted gaming headset inspired by the iconic Coconut Headband cosmetic from Sea of Thieves. Reserved exclusively for contest winners and select influencers, this is a collectible that won’t live on a retail shelf.
“This is one of the most creative builds we’ve ever done,” said Sankar Thiagasamudram, CEO of Audeze. “We took the performance of Maxwell 2 and brought an iconic Sea of Thieves cosmetic into the real world — with real materials, real craftsmanship, and a lot of personality.”
Maxwell 2 Performance, Coconut Soul
Built on Audeze’s acclaimed Maxwell 2 platform — celebrated for its planar magnetic drivers, ultra low latency wireless, and multi-platform compatibility — the Coconut Headset takes that foundation somewhere unexpected. The Coconut Headband is one of Sea of Thieves’ most beloved in-game cosmetics: a quirky, sun-bleached headpiece that players have worn as a badge of personality with the Immerse Gamepack. Here, it crosses over into the real world.
Each earcup is crafted from genuine coconut shells, hand-selected and shaped to echo the charm of the in-game item. The headband is hand-stitched, rugged, and characterful — unmistakably “Sea of Thieves.” No two units are identical.
Made for the Community, Not the Cart
Fifty units have been produced. All of them are reserved for Sea of Thieves contest winners and a curated group of community influencers and content creators — none are available for purchase. Distribution details and contest information will be announced through official Embody and Audeze channels in the coming weeks.
“This is about bringing players closer to the world of Sea of Thieves,” said Kapil Jain, CEO of Embody. “The Immerse Gamepack transforms how you hear the game — the Coconut Headset lets you wear it.”
