A Grammy Award-winning mixer, music producer, and songwriter Embody glad of have Carlos de la Garza is on a spotlight.

Carlos de la Garza is a Grammy Award-winning, multi-platinum mixer, producer, and engineer based out of Los Angeles, California. After touring with numerous bands throughout the ’90s and early 2000s, including F.Y.P., Reel Big Fish, and Sugarcult, he began his career in music production with a stint at the world-famous Capitol Recording Studios in Hollywood, California. He has achieved success working with artists such as Paramore, Best Coast, Bad Religion, Young the Giant, and Ziggy Marley.

In 2015, Paramore won a Grammy Award for their song “Ain’t It Fun” from their record “Paramore (Self Titled), which de la Garza engineered. Following this success, de la Garza was awarded a second Grammy Award for engineering Ziggy Marley’s record “Ziggy Marley (Self Titled).”

In 2018, de la Garza was once again recognized for his engineering talent when Wolf Alice was awarded the Mercury Prize for their record “Visions of a Life,” which de la Garza engineered.

STUDIO BIO

Music Friends Recording Studio is located in the Eagle Rock neighborhood of Los Angeles and has hosted a variety of recording and mixing sessions for a wide array of clientele, spanning from pop icons Kesha, Alanis Morissette, and Ziggy Marley to alternative rock giants such as Bad Religion, All American Rejects, M83, Cherry Glazerr, and others. The studio was designed and constructed in 2008 under the direction of legendary Los Angeles studio designers Vincent Van Haaf and Jacques La Croix.
