Embody’s core technology is the Immerse AI Personalized HRTF (Head-Related Transfer Function), a cutting-edge and highly accurate spatial sound experience for headphones. By analyzing a simple selfie video, our advanced algorithms interpret how your unique physical features influence the way you perceive sound. This involves modeling how sound interacts with your head, torso, and the intricate structures of your ears before reaching your eardrum. Our process identifies thousands of subtle, abstract features in your ear and head shape, many of which are invisible to the naked eye, to ensure a truly personalized sound profile.

Using neural networks and advanced deep learning, we generate an accurate, true-to-size 3D digital model of your head and ears from your smartphone video. These models are processed through our proprietary Acoustic Scattering Neural Network, which predicts how sound scatters based on your specific anatomy. This involves billions of physics-informed calculations performed in parallel on high-performance GPU and TPU units, delivering a precise representation of your acoustic signature within seconds.

Your Personalized HRTF is entirely unique to you, leveraging cloud computing and parallel processing to deliver unparalleled accuracy and realism. We then optimize this data for specific applications, such as enhancing sound localization in a specific game or transporting you to a virtual studio

Camera-based Head-tracking

With ultra-low latency surpassing that of Apple AirPods, Embody’s camera-based head-tracking technology enhances immersion by capturing the subtle, natural micro-movements of your head. These 3D head movements are key to spatial sound localization, allowing you to intuitively identify the direction and distance of sounds as you would in the real world. Built on unbiased facial recognition models and designed to work seamlessly with standard webcams, this technology ensures accessibility and ease of use, making head-tracking a practical feature for everyone.

Personalized Headphone EQ

Embody’s Personalized Headphone EQ technology ensures you hear sound exactly as intended by fine-tuning it to your unique anatomy. Using advanced computer vision from our Personalized HRTF, we analyze how your headphones interact with your ears and predict their acoustic response.
