DATA SCIENCE AND THE FUTURE OF SPATIAL AUDIO

Embody has partnered with SCU Imaginarium faculty and students on a joint data collection and research initiative to study and develop a new 3D-Scanned HRTF Database. This database will be used to train cutting-edge neural networks specifically designed to accurately predict HRTF data from complex and abstract structures. A research paper on the process and findings will be published at a later date in collaboration between Embody and the SCU Imaginarium Lab.

Students have the opportunity to work with Embody engineers and learn how machine learning and data science are being used to shape the new frontier of immersive sound experiences for video games, music, film, and XR. The Imaginarium Lab is dedicated to training the next generation of immersive content creators; Embody is honored and excited to partner with such an outstanding institution whose dreams and vision we share.
